This cake server is made from Stainless Steel. It has been enhanced with an insert of Paua Shell laminate with Fish Hook, Koru or Tear Drop cut out, which has been 'domed' with a clear resin.
PAUA SHELL (Haliotis Iris). Found only in New Zealand coastal waters, paua is a mollusc prized for its lustrous colour and flavoursome meat. Maori traditionally used the shell in wood carvings.
